As a Program Manager - Shipping and Receiving with Hines, you will execute various administrative tasks to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of the Shipping and Receiving Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to.

Your Profile
  • Manage third party Shipping and Receiving vendors and related client programs
  • Own and understand contractual and operational working relationships with our vendors to ensure that commitments are delivered
  • Develop, implement and audit logistic plans, service levels and procedures to ensure compliance, while mitigating costs
  • Manage budget, forecast and contract renewals
  • Create and evaluate Key Performance Indicators
  • Maintain above industry standard SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
  • Interacts within multiple levels of the organization; to develop, manage, and communicate service needs and to identify and communicate risk
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver shipping services, equipment moves and special handling services to client employee groups and individuals
  • Evaluate and contribute to program reporting
  • Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve KPI’s
  • Recognize when process changes are required, help create new process, and help ensure team is following new protocols
  • Responsible for working with existing transportation suppliers on best in class delivery rates and delivery routing
  • FedEx spend management and oversight of North American usage
  • Be flexible for additional assigned duties
We offer
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience combined with professional training
  • Five or more years of professional office experience with a minimum of two years in shipping and receiving or logistics
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluency in tools such as Sharepoint, Quip and Google Sheets
  • Strong leadership background
  • Experience managing Third Party Service Delivery and Vendor Relationships
  • Highly organized and experienced with managing multiple projects
  • Experience with a service-based/SLA-based vendor delivery model
  • Advanced problem solving experience and refined analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in adapting communication style to suit different audiences
  • Attention to detail and experience developing accurate written materials
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects
  • Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgement in making decisions
  • Strong foundation in process improvement with a focus on data accuracy
